ABOUT ME

Hi, I’m Lexi Heinitz, and I am a reporter and freelance writer based in the Des Moines suburbs.

After studying Journalism and Film at North Central College, where I worked as the EIC of our school newspaper, I ran socials for a local coffee shop and covered SEO-driven pop culture news for Looper.

I recently joined the newsroom at 1040 WHO AM (iHeartMedia), where I write and anchor newscasts for multiple radio stations in the Midwest. When I’m not working, you can find me scouring secondhand stores for first-edition Stephen King books with an iced chai latte (with oat milk) in hand.
